| Another nice suprise. There was supposed to be an outbreak in the Ohio valley but the oulook was downgraded to slight from East Texas to the Ohio valley. As the cold front went through DFW a line of TCU began to form. Lon Curtis's analysis provided on WX-CHASE showed a potential for explosive developement from Waco to Austin. As I got ready to leave those TCU were rapidly turning into CB's. As I drove south I got a report of golf-balls falling just about 10 miles ahead of me in Grandview, TX. I drove through quarters just south of town. The storms were a bit high based and were being ripped apart by upper level winds. those that lived were contorted with updraft bases far from rain cores. Mostly pretty pics and even some nice bluebonnets as a bonus.
