Barton County, Ks Driving north out of Great Bend, KS. for the Russell supercell we saw a wall-cloud on the southeast side of the core with an elephant-trunk on it's north side. We turned east on a gravel road and shortly a second hose formed. After this lifted we could see another brief touchdown then a broad cone formed and appeared to wrap in rain. After a bit of excitement in the bears cage and an exit on slick-top roads we view the bomb cranking southwest of Wichita, KS. in our original target zone. OH WELL!
