Sapulpa Tornado
As we approach Tulsa from the SW our target storm literally explodes to
our north but soon a new storm to the south begins to choke it. We drop
to Sapulpa and then east to I 75 and a bit south. I notice a dramatic horseshoe
flank as the RFD pushes out. We view the parent wall-cloud to the Sapulpa
tornado from the east as it already starts to wrap in rain curtains. After
moving a bit south we get a better view and watch a broad cone slowly form
and then completely wrap in rain and dissappear. Then a new menacing wall-cloud
forms to the north east. A funnel forms in the old occluded meso. |

Beggs Tornado
We moved south behind the Beggs storm reaching HWY 16 in time to see the
beautiful orange hose rope and decay. Looking southeast we see a truncated
cone. What a day! |
